Service Disclaimer
Important information about the scope and limitations of our support services.
1. General
PCsupport.ca provides computer support services on a best-effort, professional basis. Technology environments vary widely, and no support provider can guarantee that every issue can be resolved, or resolved within a specific timeframe.
2. Diagnosis Is Based on Available Information
Initial recommendations are based on the symptoms and information you provide. The underlying cause of an issue may differ from initial expectations once diagnostics begin, and the recommended solution may change accordingly. We will always explain changes before proceeding.
3. Data and Backups
You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. Although we work carefully, any technical service carries an inherent risk of data loss, and PCsupport.ca is not responsible for loss of data, software, or configurations unless a specific backup service was agreed in writing. If you need help creating a backup before service, ask us — we offer backup guidance.
4. Aging Hardware and Pre-Existing Conditions
Older devices, failing components, or previously modified systems can behave unpredictably during service. Work on such systems is undertaken at the customer’s risk, and we will flag concerns before proceeding whenever they are visible.
5. Third-Party Software and Vendors
We do not control third-party products, services, licences, or update policies. Issues caused by third-party vendors (including operating system updates and subscription services) may be outside the scope of what we can fix, though we will help you understand your options.
6. Security Services
Malware removal and security reviews reduce risk but cannot guarantee a device is — or will remain — free of all threats. Safe computing habits and up-to-date software remain essential, and we are happy to explain both.
7. No Professional Advice Beyond Scope
Information provided by PCsupport.ca, on this website or during service, is technical guidance only and is not legal, financial, or other professional advice.
8. Questions
If anything about a proposed service is unclear, ask before approving work: support@pcsupport.ca. Clear expectations are part of good support.
